‘Superstition’ themed submissions for LOLG at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival

the templeFor the sumer months, Lights Out will be taking our usual break and will return back to the Old Hairdressers in the Autumn – just around the time when the nights start drawing in again and we don’t need to fight back the light too much.

But to keep you going over the summer, we have teamed up with the Belladrum Tartan Heart festival for a themed Lights Out Listening Group event. Belladrum is being held from 4-6 August, by Beauly in Inverness and as tickets are now sold out, this could be your chance to be there with us in spirit!

We will be hosting the ‘in the dark’ listening experience in the Temple building which is  nestled amongst a secluded woodland knoll on the festival site. Close to the old coach houses, clock tower and the walled garden of the Belladrum estate the Temple was designed in the 1930s by Reginald Fairlie, a reknowned Scottish architect and it is designated a B listed building by Historic Scotland. Over the weekend the Temple will also be used for weddings as well as hosting artists work.

For this exciting event, we need your contributions. To fit with the unique location of The Temple, we are looking for audio and radio works that fit the overarching Belladrum theme of ‘superstition’.

As ever we encourage submissions from audio producers far and wide  and submissions are open until Monday 25 July  please look at our About page for more information on how to contact us with your submission.

Following the event at Belladrum, the full programme will be made available as a podcast so our regular listeners will also be able to listen at home.

Deadline for submissions: Monday, 25th July 2016

Thanks to all our contributors for the last event in May – the programme is now available to listen online here
