Next LOLG Weds 30th September – submissions now open

posteridea001Lights Out Listening Group is a unique listening experience that takes place in almost complete darkness.

We are looking for audio and radio work of all kinds for inclusion in our next event on Wednesday, 30th September. If you’d like to contribute something please get in touch or visit the About page for more details on how to submit work. We will be at our regular venue upstairs at the Old Hairdressers.

Deadline to be included in the programme: Friday, 25th September.

Where: Old Hairdressers, Opposite Stereo Renfield Lane, Glasgow, G2 6PH

Do You Hear Me? Collaborative Audio – Listening Night & Discussion – Tuesday, 1st September, 7pm, The Old Hairdressers.

While visiting Scotland, Melbourne-based community radio broadcaster, audio creative, and PhD candidate Maddy Macfarlane will host an evening of intimate listening, inviting community discussion around topics and experiences of community media, collaboration, self-representation and authorship.The listening program includes short collaborative audio pieces created by current, former and second-generation asylum seekers in Melbourne, developed through a mentoring program with local community radio broadcasters. The event is FREE and open to including collaborative audio/media works by local Scottish producers. Please contact Maddy on mmma@student.unimelb.edu.au

“Above us, the sky” – Following her sold out premiere, regular LOLG contributor Lin Li has another special  screening of her new film on Thursday, 27th August at the CCA Glasgow.

The next  INTER  event at Stereo is scheduled for Wednesday 12th August. This is the second in a new series of events for the performance of multi-channel and surround sound work, and other work made for loudspeakers. Last month’s programme included work by LOLG regular Jamie Cooper.
