Hydram PumpLights Out Listening Group is a unique listening event that takes place in almost complete darkness.

Our next free event at the Old Hairdressers will take place on Wednesday, 5th November with proceedings kicking off around 7.30pm. Anyone is welcome to come along and listen – we have a packed programme of sound works lined up including a guest curated spot by US Transmission arts organisation, Wave Farm (who also have an imminent open call for 1-minute radio artworks – see below). We hope you’ll join us to experience some of the innovative audio creations produced by talented musicians, artists and radio producers near and far.

Where: Old Hairdressers, Opposite Stereo Renfield Lane, Glasgow, G2 6PH

When: Wednesday, 5th November, 7.30pm.

Wave Farm and Vox Novus are looking for one-minute pieces for a special edition of 60×60 focused on Radio Art. Artists are invited to submit recorded works (created with, for, about radio and transmission) with durations of 60 seconds, to be included in the eleventh annual 60×60 project; a FM broadcast on Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM; and distributed as a Wave Farm Dispatch Series download. Sixty compositions will be selected to be played continuously in a one-hour live event and broadcast. More information at
